Sandy Grande - silk scarf

A$239.00

A story born in the dark. When Hurricane Sandy hit New York, half of Manhattan went black — including your East Village apartment. Hauled across the river to friends’ place in Williamsburg, twenty floors up on the waterfront, you found yourself sharing a home with two families, candles on tables, flashlights bouncing off hallway walls.
And then the windows.
Looking out across the East River at a skyline half-alive — Brooklyn bright and warm, Manhattan dark and silent. Sandy captures that surreal, unforgettable contrast: the city you thought you knew split in two, one side glowing, the other asleep.
This photograph later became part of your charity exhibition to raise money for the Rockaway community, who took the storm harder than most. A reminder that even in crisis, New York reveals itself — stubborn, strange, luminous.
Printed on pure silk and finished with hand-rolled edges, this 110×110 cm (43×43 in) Grande balances documentary truth with graphic clarity, folding into an electric, sculptural square when worn.
Presented gift-ready in our signature yellow Temps De Rêve box, wrapped in crisp white tissue.
